Hydraulic Engineering

Originally a support service to our major crane maintenance contracts, Sparrows Hydraulics Division has now joined Aberden Hydraulics Limited to form a distinct company within the Energy Cranes group servicing customers in the offshore, marine, sub-sea, process, manufacturing and public utility sectors. Coupled with our wide and varied experience in the industry and our company accreditation to ISO 9001, Aberdeen Hydraulics is providing a quality product and competitively priced service.

WORKSHOP SERVICES

Our workshop and specialist personnel have the resources to refurbish and test components including pumps, motors, gearboxes and winches.

Aberdeen Hydraulics has the capability to offer hydraulic project assistance with any new hydraulic design project or any upgrade work. This may be from supply of a power pack to an upgrade on an offshore pedestal crane with replacing/upgrading the control system and pumps or motors due to obsolescence.

Aberdeen Hydraulics also handles projects such as hydraulic modifications to barge pipelay and ballast systems.

ON-SITE/TROUBLE SHOOTING SERVICES

The key to cost effective maintenance lies in precise fault diagnosis. Aberdeen Hydraulics Technicians have the experience and equipment with which to assess client’s equipment accurately, resulting in a precise and efficient quotation for the work.

Approximately 90% of all hydraulic system breakdowns are due to hydraulic oil contamination. Periodic hydraulic flushing and analysis can keep contamination levels to a minimum and prolong the life expectancy of the system components.
