Flare Tip Handling

Flare tips are necessarily located at the extremity of towers or booms – making them difficult to access for maintenance or replacement.

Sparrows Offshore, part of the Energy Cranes group, has developed specialised flare tip handling systems based on both platform-based temporary lifting devices and on helicopter-assisted handling approaches.

Classically, these handling systems comprise lifting cradles with stabbing guides which ensure damage-free transport and precision installation.

Once a handling system has been developed for a given flare-tip, it can be mobilised as required to support similar flare handling projects.
